Backyard Naturalist
In my quest to learn about, understand, and enjoy the amazing array of wildlife, flora, habitat and natural science phenomena that I encounter everyday, I keep a nature journal of sketches and notes about my observations and discoveries.
Hoping to inspire others to also observe and be inspired by the natural world, I created the “Backyard Naturalist, a weekly feature which I wrote and illustrated for Hearst’s Times Union newspaper for ten years. Compilation books of the column were created but have since sold out and are no longer in print.
